Mal sehen ob die Niros die ab Jänner 2017 gebaut werden und wurden und für den Österreichischen und Deutschen Markt bestimmt sind, diesen Schalter auch haben.

@laun3006 cooles Teil. Zum Anschubsen bestimmt ausreichend. Da ich aber immer mal Starthilfe geben darf, würd ich mir sowas holen. Da habe ich meinen portablen USB C Quick-Charger gleich mit drin.
Gibts aber mit Sicherheit auch bei altenativen Onlineanbietern oder im Fachhander vor Ort.

Looks as if Niro (and Ioniq) for the US market doesn´t have the 12V battery....... and that could be the reason why they have the 12V reset switch.
This Ioniq owner comments on the "flat-battery-problems" in Europe:
"I'm glad we shouldn't have this problem in the U.S. No 12v lead-acid battery here. All of the vehicles' 12v functions are somehow wired to a segmented off partition of the hybrid/EV battery. There's even a button to push to "jump start" your own battery by having juice flow from the main battery. I saw this when I test drove the Kia Niro here as well. Not sure of its usefulness as I don't understand how a part of the main battery can charge the other part. If the 12v piece fails, wouldn't there also have to be a problem with the main?"

The first reports about the Niro I read in early 2016 said that it didn´t have a separate 12V-battery.

Ja, hab auch so einen Bericht gelesen aber auf den Fotos sieht man hinten rechts den Batterie Deckel inclusive Luftschlitzen??

In diesem YouTube Video aus den USA kann man die fehlende 12 Batterie sehr schön sehen!

Edit: I just noted that those links/pictures are dated 11 feb 2016 - about the time I read about the Niro not having a 12V battery!

A unique aspect of the Niro is that instead of using a regular 12-volt battery for starting the car and powering the accessories, Kia decided to install a small lithium-ion battery underneath the rear seat, alongside the hybrid system’s 1.56-kWh battery pack. If the small battery runs out of juice, the owner can simply press on a dash-mounted button labeled BATT RESET, and the bigger battery will transfer a portion of its energy to the smaller one.

Also könnte man vermuten:
EU - 12V Batterie, Schlitze in Kofferraumverkleidung, kein Starthilfeknopf
US - Lithiumpack, keine Schlitze, StarthilfeknopfVielleicht wurden in den Berichten nicht immer die für den Markt vorgesehenen Testfahrzeuge oder welche der Vorserie verwendet.
